Initial Offense - A student breaks a rule they will receive a verbal warning.
Ticket - A student breaks a rule again; the student will receive a ticket. Every ticket will result in the student losing a day of recess.
Minor Discipline Referral - Issued after every 5 tickets. The school administration will receive a copy of the Minor Discipline Referral Form. The Minor DR will be filled out by the homeroom teacher and will be sent home for a signature and parental/guardian review. The Minor DR must be returned by the next school day. Every Minor DR will result in the student losing a day of recess.
Major-Discipline Referrals - Issued after every 3 Minor D.R.’s. The school administration will receive a copy of the Major Discipline Referral Form. A form will be filled out by the homeroom teacher and will be sent home for a signature and parental/guardian review. The form must be returned by the next school day. Once returned, the form will be submitted to Guidance for filing. Every Major DR will result in the student losing 3 days of recess.
Other Situations – Other forms of punishment may be issued depending on the situation. They include, but are not limited to: lunch detention, after school detention, in school suspension, etc.
- Severe misbehavior, such as fighting, threatening students or teachers, verbal abuse, or destruction of property will result in the student receiving a Major Discipline Referral and be immediately sent to the principal and will be given whatever punishment is deemed appropriate by the teacher/administration.
- Students may also be removed from class privileges such as recess, field trips, assemblies, end of the year events such as Track Day and celebrations for misbehavior if deemed appropriate by the teacher.

Please refrain from impromptu conferences. Allow the teacher time to gather information and documentation to assist with the issue. ***
